Raymond's Joy by The Hag (R)

*catches the keys from the lovely Drayce* Hey there, I'm Callisto, and I shall be hurtling the Pros fandom around the corners this month..

Why this must be read:

Because it was just about my favourite story in the first 'Never Far Apart' Pros zine. She has the most delicious way with banter, and here spins a delightful, 11 chaptered tale of Bodie and Doyle slowly but surely edging their way into exclusivity with each other. There are pancakes and plastered ceilings, fishing holidays and crossword puzzles, and here is Doyle, bless, giving up birds for Lent.

To be savoured..

Doyle shifted slightly, leaning back into the embrace, tilting his face a fraction to pursue the caress. "Not asking you." Now his voice was painfully calm. "Just so you know what I'm doing the next six weeks. Or not doing."

It was more than six weeks since he had slept with anyone but Doyle. His frustrated pursuit of the delectable Mandy had been as much habit as urgent lust. In his arms was Doyle, habit and lust and...a bloody good cook into the bargain. "Could try for six weeks, then. Don't know if I -- See how it goes, eh?"

"See how it goes," Doyle agreed, setting the last plate in the draining rack. He turned and wrapped Bodie in damp arms.

I'm *still* admiring that tuck roll you pulled off to catch the keys one handed. *g*

Such a great opening rec too. Thank you. :D
