Why this must be read: This is a beautiful exploration of Sam and Annie's developing relationship in the face of Sam's inability to believe in the one person to whom he's confessed his truth, and Annie's inability to believe what he's told her. There's some great banter between the pair of them, a warm undercurrent of true friendship despite all their problems, plus a soupçon of off-kilter oddness that makes for the best kind of Mars fic.
