Where I Want to Be by Finnhere (Vid)
Fandom: THE PROFESSIONALS
Pairing: None (Cowley/Annie in some way)
Author on LJ:
finnhere2
Author Website: Finnhere2 fan fiction
Vidder website: Finnhere2 Vids
Musical Artist: Tommy Körberg (taken from the musical "Chess")
Why this must be watched:
There are very few Cowley-centered vids; I have all of them, I think, I like all of them (especially a rare B/C vid, which was made for me, very kindly at my request by one of the best vidder in the fandom, and now I regret that I didn't think of reccing it sooner, when I had the opportunity) but I love this one because it's a sharp psychological study as well as a beautiful piece of art, faithful to the character and deeply moving. It's a work of love, done by a talented author who shares my fondness for Cowley and my respect and admiration for Gordon Jackson.
The song's lyrics fit the vid's aims and meanings to perfection as does the music. Once you have heard this haunting, vibrant, dramatic melody you are doomed! At least I was: yearning for a repeat, I ended listening to it constantly, for hours. it's intoxicating. Some may even find it too dramatic and emotional but, personally I am totally for emotion, lyricism and dramatic power in music as in poetry.

When I saw your comment about the link, I took a gander and watched the vid before I responded. So, happy happenstance, actually. :)
