Why this vid kicks ass: It's made of Love. Love for the Barenaked Ladies, for John and Rodney, and all the little smiles, touches, laughs, and sweet moments of the series. Incorporating footage from all 5 seasons, it's a lovely tribute to the friendship (love!) that was, for many fans, the heart of the show. The clips fit the song well, and the vidder's done some interesting things with the clips, often using parts of the same scene in succession with other clips in between - what this does is add to the layering effect, and gives a sense of progression in the relationship. You've got Rodney following John, John following Rodney, and more and more as the video goes on, the two of them, side by side, together. Just the way we like them.
