Why this must be read: Well here we are at the end of November and the end of my stint driving the crack van for Life on Mars. There may be a few more dents and scratches than there were when I took to the wheel, but nothing that won't be right as rain with a drop of Turtle Wax and a damp shammy. I've had a great time and hope that some of the van passengers have discovered or rediscovered one or two favourites along the way. Maybe even fallen for the fandom.

For my last rec I'm going to cheat a bit, and why not?

moogle62 has written more than one Mars fic, but only posted one on the

lifein1973 com. This, however, is not it. Bit of a double cheat there, but it's worth it because this is a perfect Sam and Gene moment that damned well should have been canon. It's heartbreakingly sad, but worry not for there is hope at the end. A gorgeous great big Gene Hunt shaped lump of hope. And that's exactly as it should be.
