Why this must be read:
This is another kink!Jim story, one I come back to time and time again. Kass gives us a relationship between Jim and Blair that is comfortable after five years, and a Jim who has begun remembering a "hazing incident" from his early army days. Doubtfully, he tells Blair about it and admits he'd like them to try it.
Jim's memory is hot and his hesitancy to tell Blair about his fantasies is believable. Jim is surprised by Blair's immediate acceptance and willingness to give him what he wants.
This isn't a Jim Ellison who needs to get hurt to make up for having to be in control all the time, he's just a man who's been dreaming of a past experience that made him sexually turned on. When Blair gives him what he asks for, it's spectacular and he realizes he's not a young man in a darkened barracks, but safe in his own room with his own loving partner.
