Why this must be read:
This is the start of the rather impressive "Belonging" series - long, epic and utterly fucked up. It brings in a level of harshness that is often missed in this fandom - where it's not light banter and flashy heists, it's tragedy and violence and the wreckage of their lives.

This is not a nice series. This is not a nice romance. There are plenty of things to warn you about. But it is amazingly well done, and well worth reading.

As far as Jensen was concerned, Cougar was the coolest thing since the Echo Bot – and Cougar had no fucking clue what that was. He didn’t seem phased by the fact that when Cougar wasn’t ignoring him completely, he was glaring.
