Why this must be read: Helen's had many friends and lovers throughout the years and has had to suffer through much inevitable loss. And although she's gone through it time after time, I can imagine it being just as painful each time, whether due to death or departure. In this fic, Rowan does a lovely job depicting the aftermath of a breakup. I love the relationship Rowan created for Helen and the reason it broke up. I also love James in this fic, his unspoken love for Helen, and the fact that he bought a convertible just because Helen liked it. A lovely and insightful drive through the night for James and Helen.
