Why this must be read:
This is a Christmas story, and also the awesome culmination of Cody finally admitting to himself and to Nick just exactly what it is he really wants. Plus, it's illustrated :) Who doesn't want beautiful pictures for Christmas?
tnl makes an excellent job of two guys who know each other better than they know anything or anybody else trying to talk about their feelings. Sex gets in the way: they're boys, and it's awesomely done--but what's important is addressed. Their need for each other is, as always, true and clear, and this is an excellent picture of how things get in the way. It's a brilliant interpretation of Cody (also of Nick, but tnl does a beautiful complicated!Cody which is extremely dear to my heart).
And like I said: Pictures!

And I love writing them -- their love is so transparent (except to each other) that they make me quite sentimental!
