Why this must be read: This is the story that made Kirk/McCoy my OTP. I wasn't even in this fandom till I read this fic. It grabs you and draws you in and doesn't let go.
I was very surprised to find it hasn't been recced here before so I decided to rectify that omission. Ship defining pretty much explains this fic.
