Why this vid kicks ass:

Brilliantly cut, gorgeous to look at, and scathing in its commentary, "What We Had" was done for a "Fuck You" challenge, and it's one of the most effective of that genre, as well as one of the most complexly constructed arguments in vid form I've ever seen. Every time I watch it I'm blown away by its cleverness.

Basically, what cherryice presents here is a takedown of the shipping idea that one character must be more beloved than another because they're more inherently worthy. Love, as presented in this vid, is essentially unfair. And yet it's not hopeless, really: Jack, Martha, and Mickey as presented here get to go on with their lives as stronger people. It's a fabulous critique and a great story.
