More Than A Game by chaletian; PG
Fandom: MERLIN
Characters/Pairing: Arthur/Gwen-ish, Merlin, Morgana
Length: One-shot
Author on LJ:

Author's website: Her website, although I am not sure how up-to-date it is
Why this story must be read: This story basically defies categorization. It starts out humorously, turns a bit romantic, and then does a 180 to angsty and serious, and yet, it all works. I love how in-character everyone is, from Arthur's royal dorkiness to Merlin's knowing snarkiness to Gwen's concern and perceptiveness about Morgana and Morgana's changing loyalties. Note: It was written some time during S2.
Traditionally, when someone calls into question Arthur Pendragon’s bravery, there’s a lot of shouting and swords and fights to the death. But Arthur’s currently naked in the bath and he can’t help but feel he’s at a slight disadvantage, so he contents himself with sneering and saying, “Poppycock!” which isn’t half as satisfying as, say, cutting off one of Merlin’s limbs and forcing him to eat it.
