Why this must be read: This is a story where Fraser is transgendered (FtM). I loved this re-interpretation of canon, and it's amazing how much sense it makes. There's a lot of focus on backstory, which is both interesting for its own sake, and helps us understand how Fraser ended up where he did. I also really liked the way his relationship with Ray develops.
