Why this must be read: This is actually a poem, and it's amazing (although rather dark, so be warned). The first sections put tears in my eyes, because they pin down so exactly what Victoria's backstory might have been like. I don't think anything (other than

zabira's equally amazing Come With Me) has made me feel so much for Victoria. Oh, and there are also werewolves, and the way they fit into the story is very interesting. This poem is actually backstory for something else the author wrote, but works very well on its own.
