Why this must be read: Callum and Katee had an overabundance of chemistry on BSG, no matter how dark or twisted the Leoben/Kara relationship went. One of their most memorable scenes was at the beginning of Maelstrom (and even more memorable, this deleted version). Zabira deftly turns that chemistry into unresolved sexual tension that's been building until reaches a peak during the filming of that scene. The result manages to be sweet and awkward, yet at the same time utterly combustible. Her Katee POV works so well here as she struggles with this thing that's between them while surrounded by cameras, lights and directors. 

Callum focuses on her with almost frightening intensity; those laser eyes boring in to her, just as is called for in the script. Yet it isn't entirely about the script. He is with her, locked in to her with complete commitment. When they are in scenes together, she feels absurdly as if she's a marionette, and he's holding her strings, as if she will crumple right to the ground like a doll if he so much as looks away from her. But the killer, the thing that makes this particular game feel so dangerous and exciting, feel as if they are free-falling together? Is that she can see, she can feel that she's doing the same for him.

They are in this together, and it's been that way since the very first day.
