In honor of the arrival of my copy of the Dr. Horrible book (with sheet music!), today’s first rec is all about the power – superpower, that is. Yep, it’s superhero!Jared! To quote the author, “Even in a world where extraordinary mutations are increasingly common, being born with wings makes it difficult to lead anything like an ordinary life. Jared is a solitary semi-superhero who makes a rescue one night that puts him in danger with only the man he rescued to guide him through it.”

Written for spn_reversebang, this fic is full of gorgeous imagery, and even more gorgeous characterizations. It was very difficult to pick which fic of zuben’s to rec – they’re all that great – but I decided this was a good way to introduce you to a terrific author.
