Why this must be read:
I love this series (Angelface is the first in a series of 10 fics) with a passion that worries me a little bit. This fic takes the idea that Henrikson proposed--that the Winchesters are satanic serial killers--and runs with it gloriously. Angelface introduces the boys we know and love but with a dark twist: while angels may not exist, demons do, but you don't have to be a demon to not have a conscience. This fic is primarily a flashback fic, inserting the boys' rampages in between recounting the origins of the twisted love story of Dean and Castiel. This fic, and those that follow, and make no promises as to the triumph of good over evil, but they're filled with dark humor and the distorted but compelling affection between Dean, Sam, and Castiel somehow makes them a warped mirror image of the canon characters.
