Hiya, everyone.
rocks_not_dead here, taking over the crack van wheel for some Watchmen this month. And here goes the first.
Fandom: WATCHMEN
Pairing: Silhouette/Nurse, the other Minutemen make appearances
Length: ~3900
Author on LJ: anonymous
Author Website: http://spam-monster.livejournal.com/3498.html?thread=10074282#t10074282
Why this must be read: It's a whole story about Silhouette and her nurse. An empowered story where she takes her life in her own hands and where it doesn't end so untimely. I find this story very well written and the characterisations quite spot on. It also paints a beautiful picture of the relationship between Ursula and her nurse. I like that it overthrows the tragedy of their deaths and builds a believable AU from there. I read this story a long time ago and rereading it now, I get the same mix of good feeling with a bit of heartache I did when I read it the first time. So, if you love Silhouette and the Minutemen, this one is definitely for you. (And, if this is as much fan service for you as it is for me: the Silhouette/Mothman friendship in this fic is awesome.)
