Why this must be read:
This is a delightful post-One Breath story that allows the reader a look inside Mulder's head after Scully's return post-abduction. There is undoubtedly some angst, but also some hope and playfulness as well. You will enjoy the banter of the scene by the pool and "Fox Mulder- Jewelry Detective." The humor in this story is spot-on and the characters brought to life so vividly. This is the best season 2 story I have ever read because it shows how Mulder's life irrevocably changed when Dana Scully entered it. You get the sense he didn't plan for it, or anticipate it, but it happened nevertheless. And somehow, he is a better man because of it.
