Why this must be read:

On to fairy tales! I love them, be they original tales (pre- or post-Bowdlerization), reading how the story differs country to country, or updated versions… you name it, I love it. So that’s where my next couple of recs are coming from.

If you’ve never read anything from the j2_everafter comm (where J2 meets Disney), you really, really need to give it a try. Some of the fic parallels the films they’re matched to. Some take the underlying concepts and translate them into something entirely different. Still others use the film as a springboard for writing what happens next.

One Feeling at a Time falls most closely into this last category. It’s gorgeous and poignant and utterly enchanting, with Jared cast in the role of Peter Pan, and Jensen as the Tink he left behind when he went to grow up.
