Why this must be read:
It's fun to see the main characters from another perspective. I love it when the minor characters get a bigger part, and this story does both of those things. This wasn't written for the The Common People SGA challenge to write stories about the ordinary people in the 'verse, but it fits. (For those interested in fannish history, this type of story started in the X-Men fandom, and that archive is here.)

That page loaded after a long while. But it took a long time--like 45 secs.--for anything but the section header bars to load. So someone might give up before they get to this link, which finally worked.
