Sorry, everyone, but the due South crack van hasn't been started up in a few months, so the battery had died. And I had to replace the tires. And...anyway, here I am!

I'm akamine_chan, and for this month's recs on crack_van, I'm featuring remixes, in celebration of Remix_redux going live. Also, I love transformative works and remixes are an awesome example of transforming.

For the purposes of the Remix_redux challenge (and one of my favorite challenges, remixthedrabble), for a remix, you can change whatever you like to the story - POV, tense, dialogue, mood, characterization, make it longer or shorter, whatever - except for two things: pairing(s) and the basic plotline.

Writing a story that pays homage to the original but stands well on its own is difficult, and there's only a small segment of fandom that even makes the attempt. But those that do...the stories are awesome. Let me show you what I mean...
