Turning Point by Lara and Thorne (R)

Why this must be read: With the Season 3 finale almost upon us, I thought this might be a good time to look back at Season 1 and a story that offers up an alternate S1 finale. The story picks up the S1 storyline where "Rendezvous" ends and then spins it in a direction the show never went.
But what this story does well is keep intact all the things we love about Alias -- the Sydney/Vaughn UST, the Syd/Francie friendship, the Syd/Jack father/daughter bond, the Syd/Will friendship -- and then shows us another way S1 could have ended with a bang without any big red water-filled balls bursting. :)
