Why this must be read: Because sometimes you just want something dark, and angsty, and. . .something else.

It starts out with Jim and Blair on a stakeout, with Blair contemplating their partnership and what has led up to it. Saying anything more would spoil it, so I’ll leave it there. If you enjoy “The Good Guys”, move on to the next parts.

“The Good Brother” follows immediately after “The Good Guys”. It gives some in-depth Jim backstory that helps us understand his life and motivations. “The Good Path” continues the story as Jim and Blair fulfill a commitment to a friend.  Enjoy.

I'm so glad you rec'd this series! I read it when JadeBear first posted it and I've always hoped she'll write more in this 'verse at some point.

I love the way JadeBear handles emotions, especially angst, and the characters really work for me here. And I don't want to spoil it either, so I'll shut up now, heh...

You know I'm not even sure how I stumbled across it, but I got to the first one and just said "yow!". That's the great thing about when a writer gets the characters right -- they're recognizable in any setting!

Aw, shucks, guys... thank you, thank you all for your wonderful comments! I've always meant to complete this series and feel terrible that I haven't. I never wanted to become one of those writers who leaves a story hanging. Soon, I promise! :)
It's been a hard few months and beautiful comments like these warm me in a way I can't explain.
