Not the Ordinary Type by Seratonation(PG-13)
Sorry guys May has been kicking my ass
Fandom: BANDOM
Pairing: Ryan/Jon, Brendon/Spencer, Pete/Patrick
Length: 24,300
Author on LJ:
seratonation
Author Website: lj fic comm
Why this must be read:
One thing Bandom has that I love are the aus. Alternate Universes pop up everywhere. Superpowers/superheroes aus tend to show up each year and since I'm a fan of those types of aus I was curious about this one. I wasn't disappointed either. There's this almost steady calm feeling about it that keeps it from being dark and gritty or depressing and bleak(not that I dislike those types of aus because those can be shiny as well). That feeling keeps it positive and makes it a somewhat happier read than say something auing the darker sides of the superpowers/superheroes genre. Also the creative use and application of the superpowers is nifty. There's not just super strength or flight. The powers are intricate and intriguing. All in all it's a pretty solid read that I would click into again to read if I wanted something with a happy ending.
