Why this must be read:
A slice of life at the Jane household before Red John enters their lives. It's completely sweet and very hot, and is heartbreaking simply because we all know where it's going to go.
[I'd also like to point out the awesome non-use of specific names. This fic was written before Jane's wife and daughter were ever named by the show (ya know, in season 3), and I have to applaud pensive1's approach to gracefully handling this missing information.]
