A Rare Hue, by Jackiemei (G)
Hi there! I'll be driving your Watchmen Crack Van for this month. Hope you enjoy! :)
Fandom: WATCHMEN
Pairing: OT3 Dan/Laurie/Walter
Length: ~1600 words
Author on LJ:
jackiemei
Author Website: http://jackiemei.livejournal.com/
Why this must be read:
This story takes the thorny, poignant, funny and complex relationship that is this OT3 and presents it through a people-watching outsider's point of view. We watch as details are picked out, mulled over, tested, and savored by a quiet, patient intelligence. We never learn this stranger's name, but the author makes it completely unnecessary as the narrator quickly becomes a good friend with humorous and often touching insights. The story is less about a "pairing" than about people, and that is what makes it fabulous.
Normally I encourage people to offer feedback to authors (because feedback is life, I tell you!) but KM4, where this fic lives, is already filled up. Generally speaking though, just taking a few seconds to let an author know you were there is one of the easiest ways to brighten someone's day for free. ;)
[Edit: I found the author, so you can leave feedback for her if you like. :D]
On the Kinkmeme: A Rare Hue (On her journal here, but f-locked. Ask to friend her and she probably will. :) )
