wendelah1 and I'm back driving the van for The X-Files. I don't ship pairings in the traditionally understood sense of the term, and I read gen, het and slash. My favorite season is either one or three, depending on my mood, and I've never seen season nine. I'll do my best not to duplicate past efforts, but we've had hundreds of recs going back to 2003 posted here. I don't have a theme in mind for this round, but if one pops into my head, I'll let you know.

Why this must be read:

"What the Thunder Said" is a Scully-centric series of vignettes, set post-"The Truth" but pre-"I Want to Believe." It's very poetic, and inspired by "The Wasteland," (Oh XF fandom! How I love you and your obsession with T.S. Eliot...), but despite all that potential baggage, it works for me. I love this story.
