Why this must be read:
This was written in December 2001, quite early in the series, and it is still funny. I giggle every time I read it. It was written when most ENT humor stuff seemed sarcastic and harsh on the series, but this fic is written with a detectable note of affection for the characters. Archer’s not so smart (but confident), Hoshi’s engaging in alien language phone sex, Reed’s selling arms on the black market, Trip and T’Pol are getting it on in engineering... Heeeee! Here’s a brief snippet:
"Take her out, Travis."
"Sir, you can't say that when we're already underway. It's stupid."
"It's my ship, Ensign, and I'll say what I want. Now...take her out."
Travis sighed. "Aye-aye, sir."
Gee Whiz!
