Why this must be read:
This is hands down the best season nine Cam and Vala interaction I've read. The characters are spot on, flawed and clashing and then figuring out how to turn that spark into something else. There's sex and ice cream and whiskey and this is one of those stories that I spend hours daydreaming of what would have happened next. It's been two years since I first read it, and still upon every reread I do that - where did it go from there? What would Cam's next move be, what would Vala's? The picture is just painted that well. Stories that inspire that are the best thing in the world to me.
