This is a tricky rec to make, because almost anything substantive I could say would be spoilery on some level. So I'll just say that this story fits into the post-CoE fix-it genre, yet is in a class by itself.
Because certain storytellers just have that extra something going for them. ;)

As I said to the author in my comment over there, as I was reading this fic I couldn't understand why you recced it; it seemed like a fairly standard fix-it fic to me.
And then I got to the last line and OMG my mouth is still hanging open! Brilliant!!
