Why this must be read:

Maybe it's just that I take my show very seriously, but I find that funny fic is particularly hard to come by in this fandom. In that, this story stands out as a gem of hilarity and brilliance. The plot is essentially Damon running for mayor of Mystic Falls and Stefan being reluctantly pulled in to help. Never fails to make me giggle. It's got a very well-done Stefan PoV, sharp and insightful and mildly annoyed throughout. This is the fic I usually recommend for people who are interested in the OT3, but don't want to read porn. It's delightfully general, nothing more than some short kisses and casual touching between the three.

An Excerpt

"You know what would be super fun?"

Stefan considers the lack of orgies in their parlor since the Brazilian rugby team and takes a wild shot in the dark. "Dead strippers in a bathtub?"

Damon hands him a splash of scotch and rolls his eyes. "That's so 1987."

Stefan, privately, thinks quite a lot of Damon's habits are a strange cross between the anarchist 1850's and the 1967 summer of love. He makes no comments of the kind, however, since the last mention erupted an argument that cut all communication for fifteen years. (Damon can be sensitive about the strangest things.)

"I think I'll run for mayor."

"That," Stefan says, slowly, tasting the word on this tongue, "is the most insane thing you've ever said to me."
