Why this must be read:
Merlin is one of the rare fandoms that I like reading AU/AR set in the present even better than canon-compliant stories, so I'll be posting both sorts. (I'll be sure to note in my recs which ones are not set in the canon time period.)
In this modern magical AU, Merlin and Arthur are desperate to prevent their predicted future together from happening. It's long and fun with a little angst, and I'm sure you'll find it entertaining weekend reading--enjoy!
