This is an AU from the episode "The Modern Prometheus". Butterfly effect: a little change, and all went very different. In this case, Mike doesn't dies.
I feel a strange fascination for Highlander!Byron, and this story is probably the best take on him I ever read. It's hot, and I mean, really, really hot. But is not just that: we are talking astolat here, so the writing is, of course, astonishing, and the characters are spot on, and absolutely credible. We have fun, and angst and... did I told you about the hot sex? A reluctant Duncan, a very free Methos, a sensual Byron, what's not to like?
Something is ending here, and, maybe, something new is beginning. So, what do you think? Wanna have a taste?

All the muscles of Duncan's legs tightened, locking his knees. He couldn't look away. As he watched, Byron's hand slid down along Methos' leg and eased beneath his body. Methos arched upwards, his neck bare and vulnerable and inviting, his legs relaxing over Byron's shoulders.

Duncan's mouth was dry and thirsty, and he gulped the rest of his drink almost desperately. He had to leave. He knew he had to leave. But he couldn't turn away, couldn't stop staring at yet another face Methos had hidden from him. He'd never seen Methos this way, open and yielding to pleasure, had never even imagined him like this, and a sudden black jealousy curled in his heart that Byron was allowed to see this when he was denied.

And then Methos said, "Come here, Duncan."
