Why this must be read: - Blair, student guide, resists the call to bond with Jim, at least in part because he is looking for a way to help all sentinels manage their senses without the need for a guide.

This is an interesting psychological study of the needs of guides; sentinels are covered too, but things are more hard and fast for them; they will die if they don't get a guide.

I suspect that English is not Shadde's first language; there are, I feel, one or two slight constructional awkwardnesses in her writing, but those don't detract from the thrust of the story - the need in guides to bond, a different need from that of a sentinel but nonetheless as strong.

No, s'okay. I put in the link I had (having checked beforehand that it would go somewhere) and if someone corrects me, that's fine by me. It's possible that when I first made a note of the link to the webpage, ages ago, it did get cut off, and I didn't realise it because I've got a few page links that do that - take me to an index directory.

Anyway, it's changed now.
