Why this must be read: Though Lyric arrived pretty late to the game of writing "Jack's first days aboard the TARDIS" fics, she did so with a smash that catapulted her straight to the top of the field. Amidst and suspenseful and very Whovian plot, Jack slowly learns more and more about the Doctor – all the while keenly aware that he hasn't even scratched the surface. Unusually, Lyric picked first person POV – and she made it work!
