At the End of the Day by Veronica
Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: Jim/Blair
Length: 31000 words
Author on LJ:

Author Website: http://fic.aithine.org/#ts
Why this must be read: - Cutbacks mean that someone from Major Crime has to go, and Blair, the most recently appointed detective, has to be it. Almost immediately he gets a serious job offer, courtesy of a friend... a job that would let him use his anthropological training and totally fits the beliefs Naomi has instilled in him.
This is a story of misunderstandings, unselfishness, wants and needs, that runs an emotional roller-coaster all the way. Several of Veronica's stories have been recced here in the past, and I make no apologies for adding another one to the list.

I did put the link in, but one of the < marks was in the wrong place, and as a result it didn't show. Fixed now.

Nor should you. Even though we all like to see a wide variety of authors represented, a good story is always welcome. And this story might be the one to introduce a reader to Veronica. It would definitely be a shame to miss this one, which I agree is terrific. Thank you for reminding me.
Hope your week gets better, and thanks for providing so many (and varied) recs this month.

I don't think my week is going to get much better for a month or two (it's that sort of situation) though with luck things are past the worst.
