Why this must be read: After yesterday's angstfest, I think it's time for some awesome humor. This is one of my all-time fave fics in the humor category because it's hilarious and silly and plain funny in the typical NCIS way. You know how Tony sometimes does something completely senseless that, in hindsight, makes total sense? Driving his team mates crazy by being out of control, only for everyone to figure out afterwards that there was a good reason? Well, in this story, Tony takes his very own version of revenge for Gibbs leaving the team (and especially Tony) hanging when he took his Mexican sabbatical. In his very unique, very special way. And the best part? I can totally see it happen on the show! Run, don't walk, and read. You'll cry tears of laughter, I promise! :)
Excerpt:
Hell hath no fury like Tony DiNozzo and a Parrothead special release.
“Yes, I am a pirate… two hundred years too late… the cannons don’t thunder, there’s nothing to plunder… I’m an over-forty victim of fate, arriving too late, arriving too late.”
All of this almost—but not quite—under his breath, as if he has no idea that he’s doing it.
While he’s staring at Gibbs.
And very cheerfully stapling things that probably don’t need to be stapled together.
Gibbs needs more coffee.
