How Sherlock Learnt to Kiss, by starjenni (M)

Fandom: SHERLOCK BBC
Pairing: Mycroft/Sherlock
Length: short story
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] starjenni
Author Website: none
Why this must be read:
I've tried to cover some main trends in Sherlock fic that are not common in works based on other Sherlockian adaptations or in book canon. Sherlock/Mycroft incest is another pairing that's fairly rare outside of Sherlock.
This story, from Mycroft's POV, is believable, in character, stirring, and even ... solicitous. Surly teen-aged Sherlock makes a demand of his older, experienced brother "because you're not an idiot." It's very well done. Plus, there's kissing.

***
"This is a phenomenally bad idea," he says, rather than stating the obvious I'm your bloody brother Sherlock, because if there's one thing Sherlock hates, its people who state the obvious, and Mycroft doesn't want to make this scenario any more precarious than it already is.

Sherlock says nothing and just casts Mycroft a long, slow look. Mycroft thinks about adding this is not normal but since when has anything to do with any of the Holmes's been normal? It's amazing this house is still standing considering the events and explosions (literal and verbal) it's had to go through. This is…just one more oddity.
