Why this must be read:
I'd read anything by Vehemently; I've admired this writer ever since I read "Sparks Fly Upward" in The X-Files fandom, back in the day. "History Repeats Itself" takes off from the end of episode 3-20, "6:02 AM EST," following it to one possible outcome. First Person POV is hard to do well, but Vehemently carries it off with aplomb, using Lincoln's voice to frame the story and give it immediacy. It has a wicked twist at the end, too.
