Why this must be read: Because it is beautiful. Because it is a story about love but not a Love Story. Because it takes you by the hand and runs your fingers in the thick dust that coats every surface of Grimmauld Place.
This is a post-OotP story set in the few weeks before Harry arrives at the house. It was one of the first Remus/Sirius stories I read, and still one of my favorites. I'm sure it's responsible for my penchant for 'post-Azkaban first time' RL/SB fic. Great characterization and wonderful detail--you can't go wrong!
