Small Fandom Overview: Lackadaisy
Think a more empathetic Boardwalk Empire, relocated to St. Louis with plenty of jokes, a couple of strong female characters, and everyone is cats.
Whatever you do, don't be put off by the fact that everyone is cats. They're just cat faced humans, pretty much.
Look, I'm not going to lie, everyone should comic. It's not very long and extremely worth it.
It's worth also reading the various previews and gallery extras, which provide back story, drawing tips, and laughs.
Partly because of author and artist Tracy Butler's stunningly rich art

and partly because every one of the characters is fantastic and adorable, even (if not especially) the sociopaths.
There are maybe four characters out of the main cast of twelve who haven't committed any murders? That we know of? You're going to love them anyway.

The amazing art means Lackadaisy is infrequently updated (the first post was a few years ago, a few days have passed in story), but Tracy Butler is pretty active on tumblr, which is a good way to keep up with the comic's progress.
It is indeed a small fandom, and most extant fics are about two ships, Ivy/Viktor, because she is the only one who seems to be able to bully him into things, and Mordecai/Viktor, because they have a history.
Tracy has responded thusly:

But honestly, when has word of god ever stopped us?
(Cut for a bunch of big damn pictures.)
The fics I'll be recommending for the remainder of the month are from assorted lj accounts, the lackadaisy fan comm and AO3. If any one has any suggestions, have at it!
Mods, I am really late, and I'm sorry. While I'm begging forgiveness, can I have a lackadaisy tag? Pretty please?
