"Bound By Mitra and Varuna" packs extraordinary depth and complexity into its relatively short length: it's at once a case fic that could have come straight from canon, a richly nuanced look at the inside of Ciel's mind, and a striking portrait of a relationship in the moments when it shifts forever.
