Hi, I'm JoJo, back to rec Mag7 again after a short hiatus.  It so happens that there's lots of lovely new writing coming out of the fandom right now, in all genres and from both established and newer authors, so I'm very pleased (and lucky!) to be kicking off the new year driving the wagon.

I'd like to dedicate this month's recs to the memory of Susan Fulton, a shining light and generous spirit in Mag7 fandom who we lost in 2011 and who is sadly missed.

Why this must be read:  It's very new and so lovely I'm sure you won't mind it's personal to me.  The theme is "family" - surely one of the main reasons we love this show and its characters.  The story is wonderfully uplifting, with gorgeous characterisations and dialogue; it's both touching and funny without ever losing sight of the potential for heartbreak amongst those who are bound together by all manner of family ties.  I'm certain Susan would have loved it as much I do.

Glad you like the rec - it's very happy-making! I think because M7's now a "small fandom" rather than a regular one, it takes longer for reccing turns to come round. There are several people on the list I believe and if others sign up hopefully 2012 will be full of lovely recs!
