Why this must be read: This fic was originally written for
hp_emofest and it certainly qualifies. The author readily admits she likes to make the Weasley family miserable, except she takes it out on the Potters in this fic. Please check out the warnings the author has provided.
This story has an amazing characterisation of Harry and his relationship with his daughter. If you are a fan of Ginny, perhaps you might want to be a little open-minded because she is cast as the quasi-villain of this piece. You will struggle, along with both Harry and Lily to try and understand just how a mother could turn her back on her only daughter. The prose is heartbreaking, Harry is wonderful and the story will give you an unsettling feeling at the end, which is truly the mark of a great writer.
