Why this must be read:

I have been a Josh/Donna fan from the very beginning of my West Wing fascination, but the problem that I quickly found with much of the fanfic was the tone. Very often Josh and Donna come together all hearts and flowers and realization that they are In Love, and while I find that very satisfying in many ways, I’ve always been looking for something different. This story is that difference. Here, they come together out of grief over Mrs. Landingham and Bartlet’s illness, and it’s sloppy. And a little brutal. And very, very wrong (in a good, sexy way). This Josh wants to get drunk so that he can have what he wants without feeling remorse, but it doesn’t work. This Donna gives in to the moment because she’s always wanted it, but has problems justifying it to herself afterwards. This is the Josh and Donna that live in my mind – all lusty and f-ed up.
