Why this must be read:

We're going to go to some darker stuff for a moment now. The Generation Kill fandom is excellent at dark fic - which makes sense, given that in the mini we see some of the worst of human nature.

I can't really say much about this fic without giving away the plot. But it is chilling and terrifying and painful in an absolutely mesmerising and unforgettable way. You can understand the ending, but you're screaming at it not to come, not to happen that way. I don't read this fic often, because it makes me cry.

This is what horror writing should be. The warnings at the top of the piece are very relevant.
