Why this must be read:
Perfect for a Monday chuckle, this one's a worthy sequel to etcetera_cat's Four Ways Dief Shows His Love For Turtle (And One That's Vice Versa). It's the return of Boss Ben, Spiky Ray and walking pebble, as Fraser accuses Dief of a transgression he swears he didn't commit. A great Dief-POV piece and the Fraser-Dief conversation is spot-on,
Dief risked a look up at his face, and took in the stern expression with a sinking heart.
It really wasn't me, Boss Ben, Dief tried again. It was the walking pebble. I told it that boots tasted nasty but it wouldn't listen to me.
Boss Ben sighed theatrically and recrossed his arms, directing a pointed look at the tank on the far side of the apartment. Behind the glass, Dief could see the walking pebble. It appeared to be laughing.
