Howdy! My name is georgiesmith and I'll be driving the Stargate van for April. I'd signed up so long ago that when I got a message telling me it was my turn I was quite surprised. Delightedly so.

I've gone through the stories previously recced, so I'm hoping that I don't have too many duplicates. (Well, any would be best but I'm hedging my bets a bit.)

It's been a while since I've done this, so please bear with me this month as I fumble through.

Why this must be read: Even though this is a gen story, it's also a love story between John and Rodney. Their faith and devotion to one another shine through in this gem by sardonicsmiley. The story is heartwarming, poignant, funny and utterly addictive. I'm loathe to give too much away because I don't want to ruin it for any of you who read this for the first time, so I'm just asking you to take me at my word that this is a story that is utterly worthy of your time.

Even though it doesn't have anything to do with the story per se, it's kind of a spoiler so don't peek until you've either finished the story or at until you've found out what's happened to Rodney.

Yeah. It's one of those stories that never fails to make me feel like my heart is being ripped out but in the best way. The unwavering faith and love that baby!Rodney has for John from the beginning is one of my favorite things. It's one of those stories that I just want to sit everyone down to read because I adore it so much.
