Why this must be read: I'm one of those people that never got the McKay/Keller pairing, even though it was canon. It just made no sense to me. Thank goodness we have marvelous fan fiction to set things right. While "Brainstorm" was a fun episode, if John would have accompanied Rodney to the reception it would have rocked - and that's exactly what this fantastic fan fiction story does. It rocks. Where in the episode Keller was chastising Rodney to stop him from embarrassing her (and himself), John is right there alongside Rodney egging him on and backing him up. Even if they cut all the deliciously slashy moments this story delivers, this really is the way the episode should have gone down.

It's not all good though. It makes it really hard to rewatch "Brainstorm" because the episode just seems so wrong now. I mean, would you really rather watch Keller in that fugly, whatwasshethinking faux prom dress monstrosity or John Sheppard in a tux? That's what I thought.

True. At least with Kaylee, the frou-frou dress was adorable in that in her naivete she thought it was the most beautiful thing ever. (Keller should have known better.)

I did feel sorry for Jewel Staite when I saw her in that thing.
